That sounds lovely. except the football part. Personally don’t care for it, but still sounds wonderful.

I got into football when I was ten, because that was when “the Drive” happened. It was the first game I’d watched, and I was hooked. Back then, all we had for major league sports teams were the Broncos and the Nuggets. I hate basketball, so I was never in danger of following them. But the whole state went nuts when they won that game and it was the first time I really felt a part of something everyone was into.

Cool! That sounds exciting. I am not one much for watching major sports on TV. Maybe the Angels here and there cause I grew up going to their games a lot, but unless it is fast cars going around a track, I don’t get very interested. Might also have been my Mom was way too into it.

If we’d had a baseball team at the time, I might have gotten into that too. Baseball was the only sport I liked to play and didn’t suck at. I found out later that my mom liked baseball and was a Tigers fan growing up, but she lost interest in them when we moved to Colorado.

Ah yeah, I grew up trying out most sports since my mom said I HAD TO BE ACTIVE. But once I found sailing I was hooked. I wish I could have gotten into carts, but not with my mom lol.

Sometimes I wish my mom had done that. I regret that I never tried to play football. I’m not an athletic guy, but I could have been a decent lineman. If I decide I don’t want a guy to get past me, he ain’t getting past me.

Mom never let me play football, too dangerous. But 6 years of waterloo was much more fun anyway.
